Sliding Patio Doors
Sliding Patio Doors
One panel slides, one stays fixed. Smooth track operation, a low-profile threshold, and wide glass area that connects your living room to the backyard without eating into your floor plan. The most-installed patio door in McKinney, and it earns that every summer.

Multi-Panel Sliding Doors
Multi-Panel Sliding Doors
Three or more large glass panels that slide open in sequence, creating an opening a standard patio door can’t touch. The right choice when you want the back wall of the house to disappear and the patio to become part of the room.

Stacking Glass Doors
Stacking Glass Doors
Panels glide and stack completely behind one another, leaving a fully open wall with nothing in the way. For homeowners building out covered patios and outdoor kitchens, this is what a real indoor-outdoor connection looks like.

Bifold Doors
Bifold Doors
Multiple panels fold and stack accordion-style to the side, opening most of the wall at once. A popular choice for covered patios where a sliding door’s fixed panel still feels like too much in the way.

French Doors
French Doors
A hinged pair that swings open from the center, typically with glass panes and optional sidelites. French doors bring light and architectural character to patio transitions and formal rooms where a sliding track would look out of place.

Entry Doors
Entry Door Replacement
Your front door is the first impression and the first line of defense. Fiberglass and steel entry doors handle the daily thermal shock of a Texas entry better than wood, hold their finish longer, and give you security hardware options an aging door simply can’t match.

U-Factor
U-Factor measures how well a door holds interior temperature stable against outdoor conditions. Lower numbers mean better insulation. Entry doors with foam cores typically reach U-Factors below 0.20, making them among the most thermally efficient openings in the home.
SHGC Rating
Solar Heat Gain Coefficient measures how much solar heat passes through glass panels and sidelites. On a south- or west-facing patio or French door, a lower SHGC translates directly to less heat building up in the room behind it and fewer hours your AC runs at full load.
Low-E Coatings
Most of our patio, French, and bifold doors are available with Cardinal Lodz-366 glass as standard. Tempered glass is required by code on all door glass panels. Decorative, frosted, and privacy glass options are available on entry and French door configurations.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know which door style is right for my space?
The short version: sliding patio doors work in most standard openings and are the most cost-effective starting point. Multi-panel sliding and stacking systems are for wider openings where you want the wall to fully open. Bifolds achieve a similar result with a folding mechanism that stacks to one side. French doors belong where you want glass, swing clearance, and architectural character. Entry doors are their own conversation centered on security, finish, and curb appeal. We’ll look at every opening with you and walk through the tradeoffs before you commit.
What’s the most energy-efficient door option for a south- or west-facing patio?
Fiberglass with a foam core and Cardinal Lodz-366 glass is the most thermally efficient combination we install, and it’s the right call for any door facing direct afternoon sun. The foam core limits heat transfer through the panel itself, and the Low-E glass handles solar gain through the glass area. Steel with a thermal break is a strong second for entry applications where security is the priority.
How long does a door replacement take from quote to installation?
Most projects run 4 to 8 weeks from approved quote to installation day, with the bulk of that time in custom manufacturing. Standard sliding patio door replacements are often on the shorter end. Multi-panel systems and custom configurations can run longer. Installation itself is typically completed in one day.
Does your estimate include everything, installation, trim, and cleanup?
Yes. Your Woodruff estimate covers the door unit, professional installation by our in-house crew, all trim work, paint matching, site cleanup, and a final walkthrough. We don’t surface fees on installation day or leave you with unfinished edges to manage. The number we quote is the number you pay.
Ready to See What’s Possible?
Tell us about your project and we’ll reach out within one business day to schedule your in-home visit. No cost, no obligation. Just an honest conversation about your home and what your doors actually need.
Don’t Wait for the Next Season
Every month you hold off is another month of heat transfer, drafts, and a door that doesn’t quite seal right. Lock in your home’s envelope and start noticing the difference.
