The Woodruff Difference

A Pella Window Is Only as Good as the Hands That Install It

Pella engineers some of the most advanced window and door systems in the industry. But their advertised energy ratings and lifespan numbers assume flawless installation, the kind most general contractors don’t deliver. Our crews have been installing Pella products across Collin County for decades, and we follow Pella-specific protocols that go beyond the basics.

Trained Across Three Pella Lines

250 Series vinyl, Impervia fiberglass, Lifestyle wood. Each line has its own installation requirements. Our team knows the differences because they work with all three, not just the one that’s easiest to stock.

Precision Weatherproofing

We use enhanced flashing and sealant techniques that exceed manufacturer minimums, because achieving Pella’s rated U-factor and SHGC performance depends on what happens around the frame, not just inside it.

White-Glove Finish

Your home is treated with the same care we’d give our own. Protected surfaces, contained debris, and a walkthrough at the end where you inspect every detail before we consider the job done.

Pella Window Styles We Install

Pella offers one of the widest style selections in the industry, all available in wood, fiberglass, or vinyl depending on the series. Here’s what we install most often, and we’ll help you narrow the options during your consultation.

What Makes Pella Different from Everything Else on the Market

Most window brands do one material well. Pella does three, and each one benefits from nearly a century of engineering refinement. Here’s what consistently separates Pella from the brands that try to compete with them on spec sheets alone.

Integrated Rolscreen® Technology

Pella’s hidden screen rolls up and disappears when you close the window. No visible mesh, no removable screens cluttering your garage. It’s one of those features you don’t know you want until you’ve lived with it, and then you can’t imagine going back.

Duracast® Fiberglass (Impervia)

Pella’s proprietary fiberglass is tested to withstand extreme heat and sub-zero cold without warping, cracking, or expanding. It’s the strongest frame material available for residential windows, and it’s exclusive to Pella. In a North Texas climate that swings 80 degrees between seasons, that stability matters.

Real Wood, Real Protection (Lifestyle)

The Lifestyle series gives you genuine wood interiors, available in golden oak, provincial, black, early American, and natural stains, wrapped in aluminum-clad exteriors that handle rain, hail, and UV without the maintenance burden of exposed wood. The beauty of wood without the anxiety of wood.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

They’re three different materials at three different price points. The 250 Series is a high-quality vinyl, affordable, low-maintenance, and available in four frame colors. Impervia is Pella’s proprietary fiberglass, the strongest frame material available, with a sleek profile and five color options including black. Lifestyle is real wood with aluminum-clad exterior protection, the premium choice for homeowners who want authentic wood interiors with prefinished stains and the broadest design flexibility Pella offers.

Pella offers something the other two don’t: fiberglass and wood. If you want vinyl, Burris and NT are excellent choices at a lower price point. But if you’re after fiberglass durability that won’t warp in Texas heat (Impervia), or the look and feel of real wood with weather-proof exteriors (Lifestyle), Pella is the only brand in our lineup that delivers those materials. The 250 Series vinyl is competitively priced with Burris and NT’s mid-range lines.

With proper installation, Pella vinyl and fiberglass windows are built to perform for 20–30+ years. The Lifestyle wood series can last even longer with periodic interior maintenance. Pella backs their products with a limited lifetime warranty on vinyl and fiberglass frames, and 10–20 year coverage on wood components. On top of that, Woodruff Windows provides a separate labor warranty on every installation.

Pella’s own showroom and direct installation teams are excellent, but they only install Pella. At Woodruff, we carry Pella alongside Burris and NT Windows, which means we can give you an honest, side-by-side comparison across all three brands during your consultation. We’ve also been in McKinney since 1982 and handle all trim, paint matching, and cleanup as part of the install, details that matter when the finished product needs to look like it belongs in your home.
